Jin′nee) a class of spirits in Mohammedan mythology formed of fire living chiefly on the mountains of Ké†?which encircle the world assuming various shapes sometimes as men of enormous size and portentous hideousness.—Also Djinn Ginn. The jinn are often called genii by a confusion. A plural Jinns is sometimes erroneously used.
